Employees that enjoy what they do and the atmosphere in which they work are more likely to remain employed with their company. Retention strategies are important because they help create a positive work environment and strengthen an employees commitment to the organisation.

Beak and Johnston understand the importance of keeping their employees for a long time. Retaining employee’s means we don’t have to regularly spend time and funds unnecesarily, but rather invest in maintaining and growing our collective performance.

When our best employees decide to seek employment elsewhere, in addition to simply having to replace them with new staff, we’re also losing those individuals’ talents and their corporate knowledge about B&J.

It’s Difficult to Establish Camaraderie With a Transient Workforce

Research on what makes an engagement team tick have shown that the team you work with are the number one thing people love about their job. So how are your employees supposed to develop strong bonds with one another if team members are constantly leaving B&J? The more camaraderie exists among your employees, the quicker they’ll help each other out and provide the support needed. By focusing on improving employee retention, you’re much more likely to build a tight-knit team that sticks around for the duration.

It’s OK to lose employees to other opportunities from time to time. But if you want your team to get along and work well together, you can never let it become the rule rather than the exception.
